Learn the rules of Sevens

Use the controls beside the game rather than guessing the rules. Play every card to four suit sequences that expand outward from their sevens. A standard deck is dealt to four players, thirteen cards each. Keep the goal in mind before your next move.

Four-player free Sevens with three local computer opponents. This table uses the seven-of-diamonds opening and low Aces.

A focus for your next round

A careful first move helps you understand the round. Extend the low end or high end of an open suit by one rank. Aces are low below twos; kings are the high end.

Understand the aim

Use the controls beside the game rather than guessing the rules. Play every card to four suit sequences that expand outward from their sevens.

Start here and follow along

  1. A standard deck is dealt to four players, thirteen cards each.
  2. The holder of 7♦ must play it first. Other suits can open with their own seven.
  3. Extend the low end or high end of an open suit by one rank. Aces are low below twos; kings are the high end.
  4. Play a legal card whenever possible. Passing is allowed only when no card fits.
  5. The first player with an empty hand wins the round.

Making selections and moves

Check the rule below as you play. Tap an enabled card from your hand. The suit rows show cards already played. Use Pass only when it is enabled.

Follow the example

Keep the goal in view while choosing a move. After 7♥ is opened, 6♥ or 8♥ can be played. 5♥ must wait until 6♥ is on the table.

A common point of confusion

Check the rule below as you play. A matching rank in another suit does not extend an existing row. Every suit has its own sequence. Try the rule on the board, then read the next instruction.
